Matthew Wong

Hi, I'm Matthew Wong, I graduated from St Aloysius' College in Milson's Point in 2023. Currently, I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Business and Law at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). My academic journey has instilled in me a passion for Mathematics, Economics, and Health.

As a tutor, I specialise in Mathematics Advanced, Economics, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE), and Studies of Religion 1 (SOR 1). My approach to tutoring is rooted in the belief that every student has unique strengths and learning styles. I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where students can flourish academically and personally. Having recently completed my HSC, I understand the pressures and challenges that high school students face. This firsthand experience allows me to relate to my students and offer practical, up-to-date strategies for success. I'm particularly excited about helping students navigate the complexities of Advanced Mathematics, develop their critical thinking and understanding of the business world in Economics, explore the importance of health and well-being through PDHPE, and delve into the fascinating world of Religious Studies.

Outside of academics, I'm an avid sports enthusiast and enjoy staying active. This passion naturally complements my PDHPE tutoring, allowing me to bring real-world examples and experiences into our sessions. I also have a keen interest in current affairs and economics, which I find invaluable when discussing contemporary issues in Economics and SOR classes.

My goal as a tutor is not just to help students achieve better grades, but to foster a genuine love for learning. I believe in building strong foundations, encouraging critical thinking, and helping students develop study techniques that will serve them well beyond high school. Whether it's breaking down complex mathematical concepts, analyzing literary texts, discussing health strategies, or exploring religious perspectives, I'm committed to making each tutoring session engaging and productive.
