Joseph Papa

Hi, my name is Joseph Papa, and I'm a graduate from St Aloysius' College. Currently, I'm undertaking a Bachelor of Science/Laws at UTS. I've always had a keen interest in the natural sciences, as well as the science behind how our society functions.

My approach to tutoring primarily focuses on identifying and adapting to the specific academic needs of each student. Throughout high school, I often faced challenges with my learning because the work did not accommodate for what I specifically needed. I understand that many other students also go through this and wish to help kids in this situation. By developing a connection with my students, I aim to provide the specific guidance needed to give them the boost that makes a difference in their assignments and exams.

Outside of my studies, I'm a big fan of all things fiction. Whether it's sci-fi films or adventure games, I believe storytelling can do a lot more than just entertain. For students like me, storytelling can be the driving point behind inspiring new ideas or sparking the motivation that we need during the marathon of the HSC or preliminary year.

I personally love the process of tutoring, and seeing my students develop foundational learning skills, engage in excellent study practices, and build upon their knowledge of a subject is extremely rewarding. I hope to eventually share this love for the learning process with anyone who is willing to take me on!
