Hi, my name is Adit, and I am naturally enthusiastic and motivated teacher. I currently tutor both primary and high school students in classes, and have already come back to Sydney Boys High School to coach debating. This teaching experience, alongside my marks displayed above, means I am ideally placed to enhance your education and dramatically improve results in the relevant subjects.

I understand the complexities and demands of high school life and will help my students navigate around this, for I participated in many extracurricular activities even during Year 12. I was a member of the 1st and 2nd Grade AAGPS Debating teams and won many awards for student participation (culminating in the prestigious Joseph Coates Award). Notably, I travelled to Indonesia halfway through Year 12 to represent Australia in the 2023 International Geography Olympiad, winning a bronze medal for my efforts! I believe this highlights my ability to manage time effectively, an essential skill which I hope to transfer to my students.

During my teaching career, I have been exposed to a variety of student types – those who understand the content quickly and well, those who are slower, some who learn through repetitive examples and others who learn more conceptually. I am well-equipped to adapt to my student, take on feedback and change their learning plan if need be.

It is important to note that I am very familiar with the content I am teaching, especially with Mathematics Extension 1 and 2. Throughout Year 11 and 12, I attempted many practice problems and exams, questioned and revisited areas that I initially struggled with, and always aimed to understand the “why” and “how” behind a new concept. My studies in university (Computer Science) also expand upon mathematical knowledge gained in high school. Finally, I will share study tips and talk about the understated topic of exam strategy, as well as discuss any careers/subject selection advice if the student wishes.
